The Start Up

Hey everybody,
This the first ever post on this new blog, so bear with me(grrr). For those of you that don't know me my name is Paul Hughes and I live in southern New Jersey. My family includes 6 different members: Dad, Mom, Me, Joel, Kyle, Cole. All of my younger siblings are boys so there's four in all. I am home schooled and have been for four years now, while taking two classes over at Gloucester County Christian School. Speaking of that I am a Bible believing, God following, faith professing Christian. I attend Joy Community Fellowship in Pitman, New Jersey and pretty much have for all my life. My life (as if none of the preceding wasn't) consists of many different things. I play soccer for Gloucester and play drums for the youth ministry at Joy as well as in a band. I like soccer (what guy wouldn't) to the umph degree and would beat you in it any day; just thought id clear that up. I'd also jump at the chance to go to Europe as well as play soccer professionally, or both at the same time. But, the more important subject is that I have faith in Jesus Christ as my savior. He has more worth to me than all of those other things combined. He pulled me out of my dark, wandering, wavoring life and said, " Here, trust me. Im offering to you myself, so that you can finally be completely satisfied." But I still, as a human, run away from Him to my simple pleasures that I find in this world, and in doing this insult Him to His face, which warrants a punishment which is death. Now God, the creator of the universe is angry at me and there is nothing I can do to remove His wrath. Then Jesus Christ, the Son of God, said, " I will take this man's punishment along with every human being on earth, so that they can enjoy a freedom and joy apart from this punishment forever in heaven with me. That is the truth. The penalty was rightfully mine but He died in my place and rose from the dead to prove that He is God and is sufficent to do these things. He is a beautiful savior. Thats pretty much it. I guess.... till next time, be cool cats, live for Christ.
